Hauling

Generally, when people think about a new project, they assume that the land must be cleared and that there will be a lot of digging. And that certainly is what happens. But once the digging and smoothing and grading begins, there is often a need for hauling. Thurman Excavating & Hauling will also bring your building site up to grade. This means that you may need crushed stone for filler or rock or gravel or soil or topsoil to leave the land ready for the rest of the construction.

Frequently, additional fill is needed to prevent erosion of the land or to prevent low areas from forming which can cause water to pond in spots you don’t want it to pool. Rock, crushed stone and gravel is a great material to create paths for water to seep into the land without flooding and to help keep topsoil in place, preventing it from creating runoff problems which flood other areas of the property.

You may also require some planned detention pond areas. These are areas specifically designed to hold water away from your building site allowing water to gradually seep into the land. These planned ponding areas will not always have water but are a way to help mitigate water damage during heavy or prolonged rain events.

Thurman Excavating & Hauling services bring materials to your residential, commercial or agricultural sites and then works to spread them appropriately so that your construction project is ready for the next steps of subcontractors or contractors.
